Lightbulb Evo vi?

Im looking into buying a Evo VI. I asked around from owners that have Evos and from different sites and they all said the Evo VI would be the best choice. But I don't know which would be worth putting my money into since theres different kinds of the VI; RS, GSR, TME...

Unless Illinois has a lot of people that imported them from Europe/Japan/etc. you're probably going to have trouble finding anything other than VIII-Xs. Evos prior to the VIII were not on sale in the US.

Out of those choices though I'd say I'd gotta go with the TME

The TME is pretty beastly; My uncle got ahold of a Evo VI but I have no idea how. The dealer in japan says the car has to be atleast 25+ years old in order to import...but im not gonna wait that long. I dont know about the regulations in the UK tho, if i can't get one in IL I'll just move to Japan or UK lol

It would not be worth the time and money to attempt to import one. Maybe you can find one already in the states, but I had to move to Japan to get mine I've owned a IX, IV, and now my TME.

You can't go wrong with the IX it's more versital, tunable, stronger platform, and a better DD, but the TME is a very raw and mechanical driving experience, a true driver car but you have to be willing to put up with less comfort, more noise, cheaper interior, chassis flex, stiffer ride, hard to find parts/tuning, and an older car. It's awesome

Evo VI is a beast! Here's some suggestions:
GSR -Comforts like A/C etc
RS - Rally based platform car.No A/C no powered nothing! But an absolute monster!
TME - Prolly the best balance between all models. Different turbo material for faster spool up
RS2 - In between GSR ans RS

Also getting parts out of the US is gonna be hard! I have a E7 and although it shares parts with the E8, apparently NOONE can say for sure which parts, even Buschur,AMS etc

Japan is the way to go! TME is still sounds like a stronger choice. if the Evo 6 TME is out of reach then i'll have to look into that IX. but then again there is the Skyline r34 [dream car]

I was planning to get one even if it is RHD but decided it will be pointless not being able to drive it at all ( no track )
I did some reasearch and if you plan to get one RHD in either England, Australia or New Zealand... a good condition one with low KM | TME red | stock | will turn around $20 000

Like this one in UK... MINT CONDITION, 33000 miles and asking £15000 for it...

And a guy in germany.....

Good luck!
