Some people just don't find the EVO aesthectically pleasing, and can't appreciate the smashmouth appeal of one of the most fulfilling kickass rides of the decade!!!

I am 45, and still loving the Evo. trust me if you go to something else now, say a BMW, for the sake of "maturity" you will hate yourself for it. Yeah, us older guys have a thing for the old muscelcars, but i never have to open the hood on this thing if i dont want to.

 

Why would anyone hate the evo?

Maybe because they are becoming cheaper and are making their way to becoming the next honda.

I actually heard this argument used before. I almost see where that person was coming from, but then again no honda can perform as well as a Evo in all around class.

Yes, it can happen. There were about as many CT9A Evolutions imported into the US as the cars Honda sells in a month.

 

Yeah and i dont get it. Theyll hate until you beat them in a race. And some of the "V8 Guys" Build their own cars and all, but dont understand how engines make power. They think of a ricer as just a 4 banger. Not a 4 banger thats forceing more air, and fuel, into those 4 cylinders then their 8's are. All and all makeing more power then them.

They also dont understand how a car that weighs 3300lbs with less power then their 4000lbs car, will still win in a race. Really erritates me. FTW!

People that hate the evo are one of two things:

1. They have NO IDEA what an evo is and about it's potential. Also, they don't know what it has accomplished already.

and

2. They know what an evo is and they hate not getting one because they put too much time and money into a honda, nissian, toyota, and etc... or they just don't have the money for one. And as for the muscle guys, they are hating because they really know it's a badass car and can't believe that it's only a 2.0 4 cylinder motor. And they probably have been beatin by one of them.

 

at my last base, i worked with a bunch of guys that LOVED subarus. I told them that an Evo would put an STi to shame and one of them said, "Dude the Evo isn't even awd..."

wow...

during lunch, they'd watch videos of STis racing other STis and they's be like, "Man these guys are so fast!!"
I'm like, "How do you know? they're only racing themselves... put an evo out there and it'd OWN"

 

i think ppl who criticize the evo either a) dont know anything about performance cars or b) are jealous.

ppl who know what the evo is capable of and what a great car it is, especially for modding and driving pleasure, have nothing to say against it...well ok, perhaps the unsophisticated interior, LOL. but i think it fits the evos philisophy, cant imagine an evo with bmw 3 serie interior...

 

Thats because most think just cause they are making more power that we don't stand a chance. Than I love there faces when the 2 step hit and the awd kicks in and were gone while they are still spinning. AWD ftw

 

Let's face it, it looks like a car straight from the fast and the furious. Most people have no idea that its a real performance machine. They think its a lancer with a body kit and huge wing.
