you'd have to be a terribly boring person to not find something neat-o about an evo.

When I had my STI all I had was people asking "Why didn't you get an Evo?"

I'll drive anything that has power and handles like an Evo does so peoples opinions mean jack to me, but so far I've gotten nothing but compliments on the Evo.

I got my first evo when I was 23 loved it, never got much flack for having it. I'm now 26 and have my Z06 up for sale and went and put a deposit on a 03 evo. I can't wait to get it!!!!! I won't care at all if people talk **** on me owning it, because it's the most fun to drive car I have ever had!!!

i bought mine as a gift to myself for my 23rd birthday lol best decision i ever made. I get flack on it sometimes, but i dont mind. There's kind of a brotherhood (as well as sisterhood lol) with evo owners. i love driving by another evo, i always get waved at or we throw deuces at each other (even some STIs.) Never been that way with any other car i've owned.

Haters can go ahead and hate. They've never driven an Evo before.
And I would never own an STI... lol Evo outperforms in almost every way

Evo FTW!!

I too am an older Evo owner (34). I bought the car because of the respect I had for the unlimited capabilities of this machine. I try to minimize attention by not touching the exterior with mods. I limited it to what makes it faster or perform better. Who cares what people that don't know think. When I dusted that Ferrari the other day, the smile on my face is what mattered. Drive your car and let those haters hate. Enjoy bro...

i hate it wen the miss' brother whose a mechanic kept saying his 330hp turboed prelude was better than an evo because it has less drive train power loss and how the evo doesnt have any top end power. and when we raced in the 1/4mile i beat him with my standard evo 8. he then sold that and got a k24 ek civic which ended up being slower than his turboed prelude...

his now got a s2000 and saving up to turbo it with a garret gt35 to 'kick my ***' in his words cause my evo so called doesnt have any top end power and it wont be as responsive as his soon to be turboed s2000. he goes with the 11:1 compression ratio of the s2000 combined with the gt35 he will **** all over my evo.

now my evo currently has the following mods

evo 9 TD06 20G
gsc s2 274 cams
tbe
fuel pump
intercooler piping
eboost2 and
hfs 3 aquamist

im making close to 400 horsepower atw

=S i just hate it when he talks down on evoes in general and goes hondas + turbos will always win cause of their aggressive NA cams and high compression. and that i should go get a honda or a gtr

Its sucks being a bit older driving this car around because some just think its a typical import thats all show and no go. To be honest I love this car to do but I wish it gave off a different image. I thought about going to a x but the money I have invested doesn't justify it. I don't want to be shallow or really care what others think but it does get to me sometimes. I am 29 and sometimes I feel like I out grew this thing. What else can I really get for the money that can compare to this thing??? In my eyes nothing...
age doesnt matter. DaveBuschur is 44 , and he still love driving evos. If you want less attention, just remove the wing .

The only person that I ever knew of to criticize my evo was me, and that was just me always wanting it faster, lower, better in some way.

If people think you do well and you are older than 25 then of course they are going to question you when you show up with a car styled to appeal to the younger generation. I am 20 and no one asks me why I drive an Evo.

My dad was 54 when he bought an Evo, but sadly had to sell it about a year later. I soon followed suit because it's an amazing machine, that was 4 years ago and I'm now 32. I don't give a crap what people think...when they sit in the car and I moderately hit the gas or take a sharp turn, everyone has a smile on their faces. People at work know that I'm a gearhead anyway.
