About to get tuned wanna make sure I have everything I need
I am going to be getting my car tuned after putting on a lot of parts and wanna make sure I have everything I need. I just installed:
fp red
jm fab race intake mani
dnp exhaust mani
shearer o2 dump
buscher race intercooler with upper and lower piping
buscher intake for the red
comp 280 cams
arp head studs
I have all the other neccasary bolt on's like a turbo back exhaust, cam gears, Hallman mbc, innovative wide band, fuel rail and fpr, walbro 255, forge bov and okada coils.
I am ordering this week fic 1100 cc injectors and a ported tb, got a new set of plugs but I was wondering do I need to get a better map sensor? Also would it be benificial to get a speed density kit? I am going to be tuning on stock ecu. If there is anything else I should change or might need guys let me know thanks

i dont know if the stock ecu can run SD, but if it can and you want to go that route then get a new 3.5-4 bar MAP sensor and an IAT. but with sd any time you change something, boost, port somthing out basically any performance mod you will need a new tune as for maf tuning its fairly flexable to adapting small-medum changes. as for the turbo yu can do one of two things stay out of full boost till you have properly broken in the turbo or if you think you will have the earge to stomp it hear and there or show some pos v8 was up before the turbo is ready than change it to a smaller one. but it wont hert to call FP and ask them what they recomend for there product. glw the car and up date us on how it turn out
SD can be ran on the stock ecu.. It's just that it's still not 100% bug free if i am correct. Just stay the way you are. Good Luck with your tune.
Why don't you just talk to who ever is going to tune the car? I'm sure they will know the best route for you

I will probably stick with the maf i was just reading some threads about it, turbo was bought used from a local member that put a couple of miles on it already. I just didn't know if i needed to get a different map sensor then the stock one i have seen threads about people getting a jdm or evo x because they are 3 bar or something?
I will make a thread and update you guys when its done!

Also, make sure your car doesn't have any boost leaks or anything like that, you don't wanna get tuned and then find out your car has a boost leak and then you go and get it fixed and then you might have to retune again
One more thing you might consider is getting a boost control solenoid instead of an MBC because they hold boost better throughout, also you would be able to run a dual map setup
GL with your tune!

Make sure your car is in great running condition. Go though this checklist...
* Do a boost leak test and make sure your car has no boost leaks.
* Make sure your car has no exhaust leaks. Check for exhaust soot where pieces of the exhaust system connect.
* Make sure your downpipe is not hitting (rattling) the engine, transfer case or cross bars.
* Make sure plugs are new & properly gapped.
* Make sure all vacuum hose connections are zip tied/clamped.
