what does it take to beat my buddy's 12.5 sec s2000?
Pray to god he has the rear diff fail, like the vast majority of s2k's that go drag racing?
With flashpro and a good exhaust, I'm going to guess he'll be touching 120mph by the end. However, the nice thing is that he's going to have such a hard time getting out of the hole without breaking anything or just having his tires go up in smoke that you should beat him if you're a half decent driver. I would suggest a good MBC, turbo back (catless), LICP, cams, a splash of race gas, and a good tune. I would not touch that car on the streets though, light weight+high horsepower is a crazy combination where you're racing for more than a quarter of a mile. Best of luck!

ACT Street Disk Clutch kit comes with everything (clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, alignment tool)... and its rated at 497lbs tq...
Or
If u got a bit more cash to spend... Exedy's twin disk, although a bit more aggresive will hold whatever u can throw at it... most cases u have to buy the A-tool seperate though... (600lbs tq)

With those parts, all you need is more boost and a tune (and good driving) to drop below 12.5. At BOTI, there was an Evo with essentially a TBE, intake, and a tune that was consistently running sub-12.5 all day. I think the owner said it was only making about 335 whp.
A very few amount of stock IX have gone 12s. Most will run 13s, some will even run 14's if they dont have the driver mod.
