I like um either way honestly, without a wing has the potential for being a sleeper but with or without a wing people that know are gonna know. Kinda like I told my younger brother when I first bought the Evo when he asked if people try to race me, "People that know, know better."

or you can have everything and be a older looking white man with no tint. At least in CA, older white man, no tint, not doing anything visibly bad, they leave you alone, even though the car looks like its capable of mischief hooliganry.

Ive been debating taking the wing off. Doesnt the thing weigh about 40 pounds net?

I dont think I even go above 85 mph ever, but enjoy the perks of being lightweight.

It never crossed my mind to go wingless on my VIII. A car with such angles needs an edgy spoiler to keep the back end as agressive as the front. I have thought about going wingless on my X tho since its more refined/rounded.

What about a 9? not full carbon fiber?

Yeah I get this crap all the time. "Oh it's just a Lancer" I kind of like it though; I think it makes it a little stealthy.. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...g?t=1288064369

Absolutely love the wing, but I have seen a few wingless cars that look hot. I for one have no plans to remove the wing.

You need to try and open the trunk of an X with the big wing.

The only time my car was wingless was when I was getting it recleared. Wingless is just like all the other fads if you stick around long enough.

Even in a high speed course I doubt you would need the downforce more then you would doing drag at a much higher speed, considering your gonan break before the corner anyways which will cause enough lift to negate any generated at speed if there was any left after slowing for the corner. Maybe you are talking about road racing...

i got a yellow 8 and i love my wing had a garbage full carbon wing i hated when i bought it. Went wingless and backend just looks dumb its to small and tall just doesnt look right with no wing when your looking at it straight from the back. Then got a buddys yellow evo 8 stock wing restored it and bam i was in love it looks so much better and does make a difference. Downforce really helps keep my snow tires in check when im on the highway without it its so wobbly all the time its annoying without the wing at higher speeds

i dont run the front plate either, but cops in my town know me by first name so they dont even bother with the plate anymore, now i just get loud exhaust or tints
