A good bolt on intercooler for the 9 without any modification are the ETS 3.5, not sure if the 4in require any modification, but the only intercooler that i know of that need a little trimming on the front crash beam is the Buschur Racing Evolution FMIC

Ive got gsc s1 cams, licp, full 3" exhaust, wal. fuel pump, couple other minor things, a custom tune, and now a 4" fmic. will this be okay to put on or should i really just hold off till i get some more things then have it all installed and tuned?

also i hear a lot about Evoscan, where can i get one and how much do they run? i think this would for sure be a great investment
I am also very **** about my car. If you are installing the intercooler (even if your also installing piping) you'll be fine. Just double check with a wideband.

Evoscan can be bought here: http://www.evoscan.com/

Safe would be 11.2-11.4.

Do an IC pipe upgrade first and then get the intercooler later on down the road. I don't really see how an intercooler would damage your engine as long as you don't go with an eBay brand. Make sure you get one of the brands that are known for making good parts eg. Buschur, AMS, Nisei, ETC, etc.

The Nisei intercooler fits EVO 9 without having to cut or trim anything.

3.5" is perfect size. The 4" requires bumper modification.
