Rattle
Ok not sure anyone can help me with this but looking for suggestions.
I have a new rattle that is happening. Seems to be getting worse. As I come to a red light sometimes I get a REALLY loud rattle sounds almost like a heat shield or something. I cant' tell if its coming from the front or rear of the car cause it only occurs for 20 or 30 seconds. I think it may be the hood vent but also sounds like its from the rear of the car. also there is a random squeak when I go over a bumpy road.. This is all new just started after the weather got cold? IS there anywhere I can look that is knows to rattle or squeak?

look where the cat would be in the exhaust. it will rattle up against that heatshield sometimes, or it may be your downpipe rubbing the sway bar. the sway bar is above the downpipe, im not talking about the cross bars under the downpipe. i heatwrapped my downpipe and my rattles went away
do you have an aftermarket DP? it could be hitting the cross bars, I know mine does and it's a pretty anoying rattle, but dude 20 or 30 seconds is a lot of time to figure out where the rattle comes from lol

I have a Works DP.. By the time i hope out of my car the rattle goes away.. Its odd its not all the time.. I am going to pull the hood vent to make sure its not that. I will also check the DP..
anything in the rear that I can check that would rattle. I checked the spare and stuff nothing. Going to check the Washer fluid reservoir as well make sure nothing rattles.

yea check to make sure nothing is rubbing up against any part of the exhaust. I had a heat shield on my stock exhaust (forget which part) come loose and it would rattle like hell but not all the time. I had it taken off and it was all taken care of.
even if it looks like the DP clears the stock cross bars, when the engine moves during acceleration, braking, or over bumps the DP might be hitting. Just remove the 2 cross bars (fairl easy task) and go for a spin to see if the sound is still there. I can not thing of anything at the back that can make that noise. Are you on stock suspension?

Yes i am on stock suspension. At first I thought the trunk wing was lose. It sounded like that type of rattle. Then I thought it might be my MBC hitting the hood but its not. I am completely stumped. I know its something stupid....
