Any consideration of the 2.4? sounds like you've got your mind made up....

 

where I live there are about 10 evo that are 2.4 and over half of them have blown their motor

 

so that means the 2.4 is a bad motor?
most likely it was built wrong for its application

buschur went 9's on a 2.4 in a full weight evo and daily drove it....

 

Not everyone is Buschur the guy has a shop at his disposal.

yea, the club is growing by the day.. I actually thought about it. But Im more attracted to the 10k rpm reving then the low end.

The 2.4 is a very good block. But its not as high reving as the 2.0 Itll make the low end power that the 2.0 wont until another 1k rpm higher or so.. The cars not my DD, so im fine with it being a little laggy on the street once in a while.

Yea. It was nasty. Im just lucky i didnt blow a hole in the brand new turbo i just put in there!!

Sorry to hear about the car, but seems you have the money to fix it, so that is good. If that happend to me, the car would be sitting A LONG TIME.

 

I kinda knew by putting the FP Black on the car I was nearing build time. Ive had a nice stash of cash laid aside for just this. The only thing thats killing me, is the 12 other things im upgrading now because of the built motor.

 

Doesnt David Buschur run a 2.1 in his Evo now? I know he switches allot. But I hear his 2.0 and 2.1 engines are the shizzle.

 

Hes back in the 2.0L now im pretty sure.. His 2.0L is the shizzle for sure.. Same engine we have run 8s with in 2 different cars.. Same engine that made 900whp on a t3 and got beaten to hell in the Bastard setting many of the records..

Sucks you blew your motor, but you will have more ease of mind now knowing you have a built motor..

 

so you wanna "rev to the moon" but have a fp blk? if i only had a dollar everytime i heard this.....this turbo is doing nothing even at 9k, so whats the point? there is none......sorry to be a d!ck but the combo doesnt even begin to make sense. drag? maybe i guess....GL on the build youve got to be excited!!!!
