yup looks just like my motor when it departed.....might wanna check your tcase too, mine ended up getting a small crack that was leaking and I didn't discover till I was breaking in the new motor. btw good choice going with mike from AWDmotorsports thats were I got my new Tcase from, hopefully you wont need that..
holy $#it!! yea mine as you can see wasnt that bad. But still punch the two holes in the block, and about 4 or 5 in the oil pan. The trans and tcase are fine thank god. And yea, you cant go wrong working with Mike!
38,000 miles! wow that suxs.. My car is running a very similar setup when u blew up. I told my tuner to not go crazy on WTQ so he didnt..
my car is running 27-28PSI 95,000 miles on the motor.. 30+ launches

agreed i went from the red to the black and told my tuner not to go to crazy on it as well.....i think people under estimate the real ppower of the black and need the supporting mods before you just put it on
Deffantly wanna see a cool BT on this.^Yea mitsu gives the public a inch in block strength and they wanna take a mile lol. Tuning is key when pressing the 4g63 stock block strength button.keep us updated with the thread man!
Can't see how you're happy with blowing your motor lol but god for you...i wouldn't get it tuned at the same place you went to, there are plenty of cars over 38k miles with that power on stock block...
yea, thats why instead of me ONLY building the bottom end. I made the choice to just bite the bullet and go nuts. Theres no sense in building the shortblock, and putting a stock head on there.. Same goes for having the stock intake manifold and stock throttle body.. So its all going for a serious build..

I never blew my motor but my car was acting up and i had no evo shops around me so i fiqured like you instead of driving 7 hours to one just for them to tell me the reason i would just build the whole thing and get there and then they tell me your head is crack i say look in the back seat for the build head and motor will be here tomorrow

2.4 FTWyea. I knew i was going to be building over the winter. The only thing that bugs me is the core charge! haha.

update! Well i pulled the oil pan off last night. Guess what i found? lol
Half a rod with the wrist pin, that had punched the two holes in the pan, and then just stayed there long enough for the crank to rotate over it a couple of times. So the cranks toasted! ill add some pictures later tonight.. Parts are gettin shipped to Buschur this week thanks to Mike @ AWD!!! This is gonna be a serious build!!!
Oh and on top of that, it started snowing today! looks like ill be doing the motor/trans install in the snow!!

We have Gary from Mellon here but he really isnt an experience tuner and have not seen many of his cars on the street in Panama. From there on its just waiting every other month for Gladiel from BVP to come and charge 800-1000 USD for a tune but he gives you two maps and has made some cars run quickly.
Justin from AMS has come down here and well recently some solid local tuners are coming up but not too many.
