so you wanna "rev to the moon" but have a fp blk? if i only had a dollar everytime i heard this.....this turbo is doing nothing even at 9k, so whats the point? there is none......sorry to be a d!ck but the combo doesnt even begin to make sense. drag? maybe i guess....GL on the build youve got to be excited!!!!
I am sorry to hear about the carnage but I still think it was horsepower not torque that killed your engine. If you were banging through gears.... landing in fourth after a redline shift from third is more likely that 2x the stock HP was the cause of the failure.
Sorry about your stocker but great to see you plan on coming back stronger. I saw firsthand a stock motor go that had a FP black on it. I don't think it was on the car no more than a month. I came real close to buying that turbo and putting it on my stocker but decided to wait. Hopefully you get your new motor together over this upcoming winter and be ready for next spring.
what are you talking about.... anything buschur runs, you can buy.i dont get what your saying. its not like hes running one off setups on his cars and completely custom parts. he changes his setups constantly to further test and show the public what his parts can do.
I'm on the 2l now and spool around 4k. And on a 2.4l will see better spool up characteristics. From what I heard 300-400 rpms sooner. If your going drag i guess more rpm is key. but anyway whatever hope to see your car back on the road!

Yea 4k is perfect. Im gettin a killer price on the 2.0 thanks to Mike @ AWD, so theres no reason for me to go building a 2.4 Im also thinking that it is VERY possible for me to upgrade to a 6262 in the future, and want the block to be able to handle the high RPM power.
Cause god knows, i WILL be ready by Open track day!!

yea. Mike @ AWD is working with me on the build. Once parts start coming ill be making a build thread complete with how to's for putting everything together, and back in the car..
Heres the final parts list-
BR 2.0
BR stage 3 head
AWD spec 272 cams
Exedy twin HD clutch
ARP L19 head studs
OEM engine gasket set
OEM oil pan( rod/wrist pin punched a hole in mine)
AC delete
OEM water pump/oil pump
Bushwacker trans upgrade
And from MAP
Ported and coated REV 2 intake manifold
Mil.spec ported throttle body
MAP external wastegate dump 02 housing coated
And toxic fabs tubular manifold coated black..
Anyone care to guess some power? Remember, Its an FP black, and E85.

yea, thats why instead of me ONLY building the bottom end. I made the choice to just bite the bullet and go nuts. Theres no sense in building the shortblock, and putting a stock head on there.. Same goes for having the stock intake manifold and stock throttle body.. So its all going for a serious build..

yup looks just like my motor when it departed.....might wanna check your tcase too, mine ended up getting a small crack that was leaking and I didn't discover till I was breaking in the new motor. btw good choice going with mike from AWDmotorsports thats were I got my new Tcase from, hopefully you wont need that..
