I'm curious for the simple fact that I have been going back and forth with myself as to if it would be worth it to go to a black. I wouldn't mind a little more up top but I really like where my down low is at.

i spool my ported fp black by 3800rpm (33psi) on Buschur 2.3 and buschur stage 3 head and ported stock exhaust manifold.

I agree with everything Curt said. If you want a drag car you dont get a 2.3. If you want a street car that packs power/torque early you get a stroker wether it be a 2.3 or 2.4 you get a stroker..

My car spins the fp black like a laggy 16g, im more then pleased.

Ill try to find a video that shows how it spools. hitting it at 2500rpm the needle takes off at 3500rpm. will see if i can dig it up.

EDIT: Guess I deleted the video sorry guys. but the needle took off at 3500rpm so that gives you an idea.

pretty easy. I can teach you once you get your car back in 2020 jk

But it wasn't the motor that caused the burnt oil, it was the turbo. It is my fault, because i was trying to use the stock crankcase pressure relief system and you cant do that on a evo that you modified 10x bigger then stock, so the turbo was burning oil from it coming up the oil return line and into the middle section of turbo CHRA (center housing rotating assembly)

My fault 100%.

not preferably no. the whole build thing sucks when you're doing it, because its so much labor. I like doing little things on my car but not overhaul ****.

i have like 300 on mine right now i believe. i drilled a 5/8 hole on the side of the valve cover where the dinky outlet is.

Well I got some Swift Spec-R springs to throw on, my Zeitronix with AFR and MAP sensor to install, new pads and SS brake lines gonna be ordered on the 15th to do still. You know these cars are never done.

I had contemplated getting the Siebon JDM rear but Ill just wait and get an authentic one. Plus she is going in for paint the beginning of spring...I'm leaning toward either GM Black like on the Corvettes or an iridescent black.
