im running a 2.3 stroker and i love it, i shift at 7k(not on a regular basis obviously), most if pushed her to was about 7600 (very rarely), and she pulls very strong and very steady, i dont see why people are so rev happy... ZOMG 9k rev's. omg so epic... not

Its like they see someone build a 2.0 that revs to 9-10k and all of a sudden that ****s dope ... my car's a dd and im just being realistic with my setup.

I guess it always comes down to, "Build around you needs" Unless you just want 800hp just to say i have 800hp. Like someone mentioned earlier, where are you going to be reving to 9000? When you're getting onto the freeway, racing the wind? lol

just my 0.02

I've only got to drive it for like a week. I was still getting used to not being limited my the stock valve train limit and just from force of habit I shift earlier then I should be.

yeah - mine. Fully forged, custom manly everything. Crank, rods and pistons.

My car free revs about as fast as my R6.

mine is set to 7600 now but raising it to 8000 just out of principle but jorge said no need to go beyond 7600 really as my 2.4 is making tons of power by that point going higher is pointless.

I did choose my words carefully, they simply don't apply to everyone =)

And in Canada we also take our cars to the track
I prefer not to get on the topic of street racing on the forums, we all know its bad and illegal (cough cough)

dont build a car strictly to street race. You would feel pretty stupid if you wrecked it attempting to dodge a person or object. but a stroker for the streets all day for sure.
