Looks like most people are 50/50 on buying Rotas. I have owned several sets for my Hondas and never had any issues with them. Besides the weight differences, resale values tend to drop for the Rotas. I had a set of Spoon SW388's and a set of Rota Slips. Paid $750 for the Slips and sold them for $350 with no rash or chips, just normal wear. Paid $1500 for the Spoons and sold them with some discoloration and a 3" mark where the tire mounting bar jumped off for $1300. Probably could have came out even, but I was trying to move them quick.

I plan on buying a set of G Forces to roll around on and getting a set of Advans later down the road. Keeping the Rotas for daily use.

For the price these wheels can not be beat in my opinion. I don't have a set but I'm seriously debating about getting some!

I didn't see that the Advan's used Enkei's MAT process. I plan on getting either Enkei's or Volk's myself. My big decision is to stick with 17" or switch to 18". 17" will be lighter, regardless of construction.

the biggest reason why i've kept with 17"s is because tires are a lot cheaper, so you might want to take that into consideration.

you get what you pay for obviously these are going to crack/bend easy but the good thing is if they do its 200 for a new wheel rather than 500 .. i personally wouldnt "rock" rotas

Wheels are wear items in my book and tough to spend a lot of money on....

However I will say this: There are a lot of original wheels from reputable manufactures for about the same as a set of Rotas.

If going for looks, nothing looks quite like the real deal 18x9.5 +22 TE37s, I would have to suck it up and pay the 4k if that is what i was going for.

I like the ROTA rims. I like em. Who cares that they are a bit heavier and a "knockoff" for looks.

BUT they are round, you can mount tires to them, they look like the big boys and they are cheaper.

SO WHO CARES? I love em and rock em for real. Why pay more for the same thing? That's what I say.

Who said they bend or crack easily? From what I've read from other threads on different forums the guys that are bending/cracking their rotas don't mention the fact the rims were damaged due to poor driving or hitting potholes/their calipers etc. Any rim will bend under extreme conditions volk or rota.

Back to the thread, this has helped me come to a decision I think, and thanks again for all the input!

i prefer to stay stock and paint those. always cooler and will save yourself money from buying more expensive tires and the ride is made for 17". also you can lower the vehicle more that way
