it's important to remember that not everyone can afford to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars for a set of wheels....just like everyone cannot afford to go out and buy a Bentley or Ferrari....if you think that the quality of Advan's can justify the price then buy them...if not buy knock off's.....I personally would get the Rota's because I cannot justify Advan's being that much better of a quality rim....but good luck with your decision

I wish there was a "Love Rotas but would not rock them in my Evo" option. I love Rotas, used to have them on my Honda but I feel if I am going to buy wheels I might as well spend a little more and get some SSRs, GramLights, Enkei, or OEM brand wheels.

I had a set of Rota G-Force's on my WRX and they were great. For the money I don't think you can go wrong. I'd rather have Advans though.

Got my evo used and it came with P45s. Love the look and would have gotten something similar if not the same ones. Now 3 of the 4 already had curb rash, but that just makes me worry less about them. Like someone else said, they're on there to get used and abused IMO.

I would rock a set, either the Grids or G-Force.

However I will say this: There are a lot of original wheels from reputable manufactures for about the same as a set of Rotas.

If going for looks, nothing looks quite like the real deal 18x9.5 +22 TE37s, I would have to suck it up and pay the 4k if that is what i was going for.
If you want an aggressive look the Volk TE-37's do NOT offer that. +22 looks way less aggressive then the grids in the same size but offset +20.

Of course if you could care less about aggressive looking wheels then by all means.

TE's should be 4k either thats crazy. I was pricing out some semi custom Gram lights and they were 3700.....Still but not 4k high.

I can't believe CCW's are a less then some Volk wheels. I thought it would've been the other wat around.

I had a set of Spoon SW388's and a set of Rota Slips. Paid $750 for the Slips and sold them for $350 with no rash or chips, just normal wear. Paid $1500 for the Spoons and sold them with some discoloration and a 3" mark where the tire mounting bar jumped off for $1300. Probably could have came out even, but I was trying to move them quick.

I plan on buying a set of G Forces to roll around on and getting a set of Advans later down the road. Keeping the Rotas for daily use.

It also help when the wheel is out of production.....making it a collectors item. That doesnt really count. Also wheels kinda depreciate the same way. If you spent 950 on the wheels you'll probably get about 650-700 for them in good condition. If you spend 2000 on wheels you can probably move them for 1500-1600.

I sold my first set of Rota's to a local for 650.
Sold my send set for 700. Bought a new set for 750 (Wheel dude was laughing at the fact i bought 3 sets of wheels from them in a little over a year).

I've had a few offers for them. Currently they are color matched to the car (just to be a little different). My car is in pieces but after i get it back together if I have money left over I will be getting a custom set of CCW LM20's. I'll probably keep the Rota's.

My wheels didn't really require that much work but i run a bit of a stretch on my tires. No mods to front and a little bit of fender rolling in the rear.

Welcome Lotta people knock Rota's but I never see people that have actually reviewed the structural integrity of the wheels after hard use. At $5000 a set in R35 fitment I can understand why even the people with deep pockets want to know if they are worth the price. For that owner, I believe Rota made a customer out of him.

If you dislike Rota for not coming up with original designs, that's one thing and I can understand that.

If you dislike Rota because you think the wheel will crack, chip, explode or whatever, I think your ill-will towards the wheels and owners are unwarranted.

I personally wouldn't rock rota as I posted back on page 3. To each their own. I hope this doesn't turn into another Rota vs Volk thread, as it hasn't quite yet. I'm biased though, because i've never owned a set of rota's. Not because of quality, but because I try to not support companies that don't generate their own original ideas. I mean ideas stem off others, but why do companies try to mimic others in most aspects. Imitation is the best form of flattery i guess. That's another reason why people don't rock fake Jordans or when women have fake purses. They all do the same thing, but when a company tries to pass off a product as something else, then that's when I draw the line.

Most Rota owners i know also try to pass off their wheels as volks for some reason. I asked a guy what he had and he said reluctantly, "i've got rota's on for now, but i'll have volks when i come up with the money". why not be proud of your wheels?
