Yeah now they are working. They look nice.

I can't believe how many people support a knock off companies. It's bad for the industry.

Whats bad for the industry is companies that sell wheels for over 3k for all four. Don;t get me wrong there are some companies that the wheels are worth over 3k but the majority of them are not. I'm sorry but id rather have 3 sets of wheels over just one set. That look identical to each other.

There will still be those that want to spend an arm and a leg (Like me) for a brand name wheel if for nothing else just to say they bought authentic......because lord knows I would say over 50% of this board that buys authentic are NOT using the real deal the way they were intended (For racing).

I had a set of Rota Circuit 8, put about 80,000 hard miles on them (back roads of western Pa) and only had a slight bend in one after hitting a hole so big it bent the shock tower enough for the upper control arm to hit it... I love Rotas and will own more sets. With that kind of style and pricing you could a different set for every day of the week for what some pay for one set of the "cool" wheels.

Its like generic presciption drugs. Spend $30 on the name brand antiobiodics to kick your sickness or spend $10 on the generic brand for the same results?

Some people like to save money some people like to say I have x brand. To each his own.

There is a huge difference between legit wheels like Volks and Rotas. I had a set of Volk LE28's on my car, and each wheel weighed like 14 pounds. Plus, the Volks are super strong. I could aim for pot holes. The bad part is paying 2k for a set of wheels.

Rotas are fine though. Most people don't care about saving the unsprung weight.

Part of me wonders why they just don't branch of and make their own designs. If they can make a good quality rim for the price they charge, why not just come out with all original designs and ditch the replica image associated with them.

There is nothing wrong with Rotas. In fact, It wouldnt surprise me later on down the road, the prices come up and quality improves. Rota, I can see being a high dollar wheel. I would definately rock a set of Rotas. Ill be buying some new grids here in a few days.

there is more cost in ground up designs testing etc when they can copy something that is already successfull they save cash. Although im against knock offs I think they keep original companies honest on pricing

I'm not a fan of rotas, and it's not because they're heavy or don't look as good in person as the real wheels. It's because they blatantly steal the signature designs of exclusive wheel companies. It's similar to Hyundai's kidnapping of Mercedes's design ques. There is nothing wrong with well built, inexpensive wheels, but I will never support a brand that is not confident enough in themselves to develop and market their own wheel desings.

That said, it might seem like everyone has works, advans, volks, etc when you're browsing on evom, but in real life a lot of people have stock wheels or rotas.
