i will never buy super nice wheels, only due to the fact that the roads where i live are terrible... i know a couple people that have bent some really nice rims on the great northern indiana roads. so i rock the rotas... if something happens it wont cost me an arm and a leg to get a new one...or to even find it!

but if i lived somewhere else where your not autox ing pot holes every where you go. i would buy some non knock off rims

I don't have the money to buy a brand new set of big money wheels. The only reason I have CCW Classics is because I got a SICK deal on them. IMO the best way to go is wait til you find a good deal on some nice used wheels.

volks would have been bent rather than cracked.

for the money, you cant beat a rota... just make sure that when you have rotas, dont pass them on as originals.

Speaking from experience, I had rota wheels on my car for 4 years daily driven and NEVER had a problem. We dont have the best streets in Boston. My Advans on the other hand, bent the first week with a pothole. This obviously doesnt compare one to the other for track purposes. But that was my personal experience with daily driving both.

So would i rock Rotas? Yes
Would I get rid of my Advans for Rotas? No, but if my Advans were unusable for some reason, I would most definately buy Rotas. It really sucks when u get any small scratch on a wheel specially if its a expensive name brand wheel.

I just sold my Rota's. I was going to use my Works Meister M1R's for weekend or car show duty but now I think those will be my everyday wheels and the SuperLaps I just ordered from Gruppe-S (limited edition in gloss black with blue accents) will be my weekend or car show wheels now.

That being said. I would (and have) rock(ed) Rota's.

Why you care what other people think of stuff that you are putting on your own car is beyond me...

<grin> That's because your car was not conceived to be parked and admired by folks with similarly decorated contraptions. "What other people think" is the very reason for the secondary aspects of parts' choice, or more accurately the primary aspect for folks whose automotive orientation exists on that level.

I've had them in the pothole ridden roads of Manila since 2000 with no problems...
