stock tires are a big no in snow. The all seasons can be kind of ok. But there is a reason why the call the snow tires in that name.
It is a cheap insurance. For yourself and for others... In my country if you crash in snow and you don't have snow tires , you got a problem
if i know i have to come to a stop like a light then i start to engine break for lie 2 blocks away so i wont slide. Hasent failed me yet.

You won't always have 2 blocks notice before you need to stop.

I see there are WS70, LM25-RFT, LM60.

Probably won't get any this year, but wouldn't mind picking up a set next winter.
Im running the WS60. I think the WS70 are the newer compound/model. They are a blessing. best investment for a car that lives north of the Mason-Dixon line.

My evo is fantastic is the snow, I trust driving that more than my wifes Legacy. Snow tires are a must though, i've tried driving the evo without them and it's not fun.

I'm running Blizzak WS70's as well. No complaints from me, however sometimes I wish I had gone narrower than stock. Seems like it floats on slush sometimes.

I get the feeling someday you're going to be very impressed at how reckless some other drivers can be like suddenly pulling out in front of you because of that extra space, cutting in front to make a turn, the list is really quite long.

Seriously reconsider your thought process..

last snow storm some jackass did that to me. I bought the car in Oct of 2010 so i was going to make it through the winter with what ever tires it had on. Next winter its different though.

I think it's the most confident car in the snow I've ever driven, as long as you have the right tires. It's so much fun to drift with in parking lots.

This winter was my 1st winter driving an my EVO or any AWD car in the snow and I was skeptical as well for good reason, I was on the stock tires and it showed. I was very cautious but next winter I'll definitely have snow tires on there. As stated those are key and are for a reason.
