Ibefore my last tune I got everything ready for e85. Got my double pumper, bigger injectors, map switching. I'm expecting at least an additional 100whp once I switch.
Current setup- 542whp, fpblack, built 2.0, 100% meth, all supporting mods.

All really depends on what kind of power your trying to make and whether you have any e85 stations close to you really. Obviously if you have one close to you e85 would be a no brainer.

^ this. If you can afford burning fuel at a much higher rate and it's available near you, why wouldn't you?

^yea hes rite the pump situation would be a huge point unless you were one of those high rolla's tbat bought 55 gall drums hahha. But ive had in person views with internal cOmponets out of record breakin stock block 4g's. The ****s incredible. Burns cooler so the parts are all stupid clean. Like didnt have any carbon build up on them. U suck alot of juice when ur running it but its just so much better for ur motor.

Also depending on where u live, alot of pumps up north change the blend for the winter so either u or your tuner can check the potency of the stuff deffantly befOre u tune it. And if the levels arent where there supposed to be u probably should just wait till they change it. Its usually earlier spring.

If you have stations nearby with E85 do it. Though, I would recommend being dual mapped so you can switch if you cant get E85.

If you're upgrading the fuel system anyway, E85 is like free fun.

Can someone explain the process of using the switch? If the gas light is on with E85 in the tank, can you simply just flip the switch and fill up with 93 and vise versa? Or is them some crazy process of emptying the tank?

E85 is superior if you are looking for high HP.

I personally would not run it unless my vehicle was for weekends only.

The MPG is poor with the E, and if you do any sort of long distance driving you may not find a station that has E85. 93 is also easier on your fuel system.

This is the same thing that I have been wondering. I am wanting to switch in the summer time because I live in Chicago weather. I also commute probably ~90 miles a day to and from school.

MPG is not that bad with E85, I average about 19 mpg with some moderate spirited driving mixed in. Given that I pay about .80/gal less than what 93 octane currrently costs, I would say the tradeoff is definitely worth the switch.

There are many way to switch from E85 to 93, just check out the alternative fuel forum; simply have your tuner create two maps for 93 and E85.

Yeah I wonder if the trade-off is worth it. I will pay less for E-85 but get have a lower MPG...hmmm...it is readily available in my area too.

See that would kill me! I average 260-280 on a full tank if I don't boost. I fill up twice a week...$100 total.

I just bought all my gear to get ready for my switch to E85 come spring. New fuel pump and bigger injectors followed by a tune and I'll be good to go! I think I'll switch back to 93 during the winters though, seeing as it's basically E70 in WI from what I hear....
