I scrapped this idea last year and now this thread is making me think E85 is the way to go again.

Question for all the experts. I bought 10 gallons of the stuff back in August with the intention of getting tuned for it. Never did. Those 10 gallons have been sitting in my garage in 2 plastic jugs since. Think it's still good to go after 6+ months or should I have it disposed of?

I would honestly dispose of it. Could have taken in moisture during that time...especially if not kept in a very air tight container.

You don't need a double pumper unless you plan to go for high HP later on. At you current mod level, with even a few more bolt-ons, you can get away with a single 255.

1000cc Injectors? 1300cc? Upgraded fuel rail? I'm super excited to make the switch and wanna make sure I'm on the right path with everything before the tune.

I currently have fic 1100 cc high-z injectors with a single walbro 255, which give me all of the fuel I need for my current setup along with room to grow.

E85?

Im thinking about it too. is everyone still on stock ECU? What size injectors and how much gain is everyone getting off it? MODs: 680cc, 255fp, and full bolt ons.

A question on mixing/emptying process:

Say you currently have a tank of e85 and you run it down to the point where the E light turns on. You can't simply fill it back up with 93 octane and switch the map to your 93 octane map? What would happen?

Can anyone verify this that has experience with it?

Nothing...now when you go the other way around you'll need to drive easier...due to the increased timing and the ethanol blend being lower because of the e85/93 mixture.
