Update:

-Connecticut Attorney General has been contacted and a claim has been filed.

-Filled out the paperwork from DMV to have them investigated. I sent Al and Dan a last resort email to see if they would cooperate at all. If I send these papers in the DMV sends the gov't in to investigate/audit the business, and that could potential close their doors for 4-6 weeks. I know they have families and I don't want to take food out of their families mouths.

-Opened a claim with the BBB.

-Collected all phone record/text messages between myself and Al/Pruven. When you read through the texts, it makes Al look like a crook

-Collected all invoices from various vendors and paypal transactions for anything involved with the car. I CANNOT believe how much money I sunk into this thing.

Everyone here; THANK YOU VERY MUCH. You led me in the right direction and gave me some invaluable information.Next time anyone is in Temecula/North Stonington I'll owe you a beer or 2!!

-James

well bro been readin these 6 pages, i know how ya feel.. me personally for my engine rebuild and fp red setup took about 6 months to get finished at the shop i went to, partially due to my warranty issue with ACT about my broken clutch, then another 5 months backorder on the fp red at the time. Personally you should hit him with the lawsuit, but it will take a while unfortunately thats how the law is, takes a lot of time to sue someone, then get somethin out of it at the end. Now since u live in temecula area in cali, im from riverside, if you want some reputable shops to take your car too to be done right, take it to tuning tech in colton ( thats where my car was built), or there reese tuning down in santee area which isnt far from you, or theres RRE but there a bit of a drive from you. Anyone of those shops should get your car back up n running right. Good luck man and if you got any other questions for a fellow Inland Emperor...holla a pm haha

I may be a mean person, but they've had their shot to play nice and they blew it multiple times. I wouldn't let this stop you from trying to get back what's rightfully yours.

Remember all that money you paid them to tune your car? Remember all that money they wanted to fix your car after they broke it? Remember the bogus storage fees they wanted you to pay? All that money went towards feeding their families instead of fixing your car.

dam man I understand how you may feel about possible taking food out their mouths but man this is about a business respecting their customers and I feel any company that doesn't take care of or respect their customers needs to be closed. good luck with everything, I see as soon as I get a evo and am ready to build I definitely will be shopping around and paying whatever it takes to get the job done right and be respected at the same time.

I feel for you man. I really do. If there is one thing I've learned in 4 years with this car, it's that you have to pay to play if you want things done right.

The shops with the big names have them for a good reason. If you can't afford to have a top-notch place like CBRD or AMS work on the car, it's probably better not to have the work done at all.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Well put. I just have somewhat of a soft spot due to my background

No joke. Its worth the wait and extra money. I always assume the best when I meet someone and automatically trust them, and the past few months I've been having that come back at me. I guess sometimes you just have to be the shark.

The sad thing is I though Al was an awesome tuner. I was referred to him right from BR where 99% of my parts came from.

Oh well, lesson learned. Ivey, STM or bust.
