E85 conversion questions

Hey guys

Doing a small build on IX MR

Wanting to convert over to e85, everyone has been sending me in different directions, so far running all basic bolt ons, 255 walbro, now this is where i want to go FIC 1450 blue max injectors. Would love insight on what all of you experienced guys think and what else i should be running.

Stock turbo, 400hp. Nothing to push my rods past where they should go until i start to build the motor.

What cams? With the right set e85 and a few bolts ons is very easy.

I'd say get the 1450's just so when you plan for your build later on...hopefully they will be enough for that setup too...

I would stick to a set of FIC 1100 High Z injectors. I think that 1450cc is way to big even for e85. I am running the 1100cc injectors on e85 right now, making a little more than 330/330 MD correction, and I am at 60%dc. So making 400 on 1100cc's is way within reach. Also with the High Z injectors you can up your base fuel pressure to get more fueling out of them. They are a little more expensive, however they are worth every penny.

Also I ran the 1350cc injectors on my Galant and they did well for me however the FIC 1100cc and 2150cc stuff has just been awesome.

I'm no expert on this at all but my shop guys advised me to not go over 1150cc with the stock turbo and E85 because anything larger can be very difficult to tune for smooth start up and idle. However, someone (with personal experience) can feel to tell me I'm wrong. I wouldn't be mad if I am cuz that would open up my options for injectors.

400 on a dynojet is no where near the limit of the stock motor.

I heard 450+ is getting risky.. yes? no?

My tuner + where i get most my information said 1450 should not be a problem.

especially when i plan to do a build in the near future.

Anybody got opinions on cams?
