what brand motor oil/filter are you using?
Wayyyyy off topic, but i'll throw you a bone. Motul RBF is a popular DOT4 fluid, however it picks up and retains water like crazy and has short change intervals even with DD duties.
I would reccomend going with the Amsoil DOT4 fluid (forum member Apagan01 is a vendor and can hook you up) as it has vastly superior characteristics when it comes to water absorption. even if dry/wet boiling temps are consistant with Motul.

I learned something new today from reading that pro-Amsoil filter link. I was using Mobil 1 5W-30 and Pure 1 filter on my stock IX motor changing it every 3,000 miles which I've had for 1 year now putting about 20,000 miles on it. No problems to speak of. I'm selling that car and going to another IX and having a new motor 2.4L put in and will be using Amsoil products on that new motor.

new turbo will get the higher zinc content oil like VR1.
So far so good, next oil change in a K or so.
