Car Stalling when downshift

Every now and then my car decides to stall or almost stall when I downshift from 3rd to 2nd while slowing down to make a turn. I notice my RPMs dipping below ~500 when it does it. It also happens sometimes when I put the clutch in right before a full stop.

This only seems to happen during the summer and it gets worse on really hot days. It was slighlty corrected with some modification on my tune but it is still there. I was reccomended a boost leak check. Any other ideas?

My mods include 272? cams (not sure which cams since they were already installed in the car),intake, headers, dp with hfc, exhaust, mbc @ 23psi, aps bov

Thanks for your help.

No. it normally idles between 800-1k. I actually have a few instances where I've seen it too low. I assumed it was because of the cams.

is the BOV recirculated or is it venting to the atmosphere?

That usually causes more grief on up-shifts, but it would still be useful info.

To be honest - and maybe this comes from my years with a DSM - the first thing I thought of when I saw "stalling when downshifting, especially when turning" is crank-walk. But to even say that term is to jinx the OP, so let's pretend that I didn't.

I was under the impression that a VTA BOV will cause an sporadic idle and bog the engine if its ran with a MAF, especially after boost and coming to a stop. I had issues with my VTA when I would downshift before a turn. I got the IX DV and have not had a problem since.

Had the same problem it was my IAC sensor. search for that, plenty of people have had issues with that sensor and then luck with replacing it.

It started doing it with the stock 9 BOV before and replaced it thinking it was going bad with dual port APS. I had the APS on my 8 before w/o any incident.

check with your tuner. Maybe they can help you out. I thought it fixed already.
