There are (or were) two oxygen sensors. The code tells you which one.

i think my o2 sensor is the reason it gets hot every now and then but goes right back down

The O2 sensor is used for closed loop meaning the ECU adjusts fuel based on whether there is oxygen or not in the exhaust. If the O2 sensor fails then the ECU does not go into closed loop and runs off of a fuel map stored in the ECU memory. Unless the tune is bad this shouldn't make the engine heat.

I suggest checking the thermostat and fans. Also keep an eye on the overflow jug becasue this could be a head gasket problem.

alright it just started doing it like once a week but the random missfire has been their a while
