cluster problem, help.

cluster problem, help.

if i replace the cluster on my evo 9 mr will it affect the miles? meaning changing the original millage to the one that im putting on? my cluster is acting up and i want to replace it but im worried about the millage.

Just make note of what your ending mileage is on the old cluster and what the starting mileage is on the new and whatever you put on the new cluster, add to the mileage on the old. If you sell or trade the car, mention that you have changed the cluster do to a malfunction in the old cluster and here is what the actually mileage is on the car.

The mileage will change. It's stored on the cluster, not on the car.

Just FYI, this will result in a discrepancy on the vehicle history report, so if you do have to change the cluster, pick a cluster within a few thousand miles of yours so that it's like like a 20k jump forward or backward
