It does kind of feel cool to leave the theater with one of the cars that the whole cinema was watching in action... tho we went as 2 Evo's and everybody was staring and shouting...kinda embarissing...

now everyone i know is gonna ask why i dont drift my Evo, and i have to explain about the Rhys Millen coversion, blah blah..

Also, people now look at me differently, i've been revved at by plenty of cars coming from the other side of the road.? kids shout, drift come on drift...

hope not

I think it will. Ask any Mitsu dealer how 2nd Gen DSMs moved off of the used car lots after the original movie came out. Will it have a huge impact? No, but some just the same. Id also assume the market for OZ and Ralliart Lancers might become stronger. Once again, Im not talking dramatic numbers here.

I think the only thing it will do is jack up our already high insurance rates we pay!!!!!!!!!And I am in my mid 30's with only 1 ticket in 10 years. Since I got my Evo insured it has risen 200% since my original policy in March of 03.

Before The Fast and the Furious came out, you could easliy get a Toyota Supra for about 18 grand, but then after it came out, prices skyrocketted to the mid 30's and low 40's!!!
You aren't comparing the same cars. The Supras that are selling now for 40k were still selling for 40k then.

see, now thats what I was thinking, but I actually drove one and ....I get in, adjust seat, mirrors, etc, freak out as I push in the clutch and it hits the floor with the pressure equivalent of an ant fart, freak out as my heel hits the Xbox like gas pedal (feelslike one too) stall it on the first try(now thats embarassing after getting out of an evo) (you can push the evos throttle one mm and it'll move the revs up, but not the GTi's) I do have to say that the torque on that thing is awesome, I was doing 60 before I new it, that was just barely touching the throttle...what really bites is that you dont FEEL anything...no exterior noise, no suspension bounce...its eery! I also drove the rabbit and it feels basically the same. I'm not sure I could drive anything else after the evo...itd just be so weird.

Thats hilarious! I did the same thing! The sales woman actually looked at me at that point and asked if I really knew how to drive stick. With an Evo and a GS-R, I sure hope I do.

thinking of trading in the evo IX

I'm thinking about trading in the evo ix in for a 2007 honda pilot. I took the car back to where I bought. the guy offered me 29,000 for my car as a trade in. i only owe 27,000 on the car. I'm getting tired of getting a code every 50 miles or when it rains. I know I have voided my warrantee and just think that it would be more hassel then it's worth. I have 4000 miles on the car .what do you guys think? I really love the car and hate to let her go. plus the wife gets on my case everytime i put money into the car. help!!!
