Mustang guys in my experience are some of the cockiest, dumbest, car owners to date. NEWSFLASH, there is nothing to be cocky about guys, your car is no that great.

 

AGREED with the only 03 year that SVT was the only one that made power (besides new of course) but unless your planing to only go fast straight it would be worth your while. remember they are on the old out dated 1 axle ....

my reason why i got my evo.

1.Great Speed out of the box

2.Mods can make it faster without cost way to much

3. it can actually turn and turn well

4. its all that and 4 doors

5. AWD donuts

6. And its been one of only 2 cars I have driven that every time i start it puts a smile on my face....

No they are IRS, people swap in the old strait axles because the factory IRS was pathetic on those. They are what defines wheel hop.

i come from modular blower world to tell you to stick with an evo haha. 01 cobras are not impressive at all. My buddy had a 2v gt with a big procharger on it and made 417whp to the wheels with the car on the edge of destruction. Sure a 4v cobra opens up the possibility for maybe 500 whp but thats again pushing it. By the time u pay 12k for a car then 2k to lighten it up then 3k for a blower you could have a highly modded evo or a kenne belle 03/04 cobra. My two best friends each have KB cobra making 650 and 625 to the wheels on c16 with just the blower and bolt ons. An 01 just isn't in the same league as an 03/04. But get the evo that way you don't have to worry about blowing the tires off at 60mph.

 

and the IRS is amazing when it comes to taking curves and comfort of the car but when you get over 500whp in the 03/04 you may consider swapping to a straight axle to save the IRS haha

 

Amazing for a Mustang. Compared to the Evo, anything but. I can vouch the two are not even comparable in terms of handling.

I guess my point is that people will always have an excuse to justify their purchase.

 

I chose my 550hp evo over my 700hp cobra! even the 03/04 cobras aren't that impressive! I had a 03 for 4 years with a Kenne bell then a T76, the torque is crazy but it needed a ton of power to get the beast going! I liked the cobra but I love my evo! Only other RWD I would ever get is a C6Z.
