Atmospheric bov??????
Atmospheric bov??????
Ok so i see all the time do not use an atmospheric bov because it causes havoc with your MAF, so how come it is i see so so so many people running atmospheric bov's, Is there a way to tune past this or what? I've always wondered why this is i have a Known tuner who does great work and he has told me don't use one, but he has one but, then again he runs a full stand alone so that makes sense. Is there another way? Are a lot of people doing things wrong? Just curious.
because i know it causes the car to die coming to a stop but my care already does this and i have a evo 9 diviter. Mine may be dyeing because i have big cams. what do you guys know or think about all this?

you remove the MAF and run Speed Density instead.

All the answers to everything you are asking are in your difficult to read post. Some capitalization would be nice. Also, just accept that there's no magic solution to make a dumped BOV work right on MAF car.
You can run open atmosphere just fine. I had mine running open for 6 months not a single problem. Recirculated or vented you're still going to be rich between shifts Nbd. But why do you guys want to run atmosphere so much? My dv is loud as hell recirculated
Is that al little better? Sorry I was in a big hurry. hahahahaha

Basically the car has to be tuned to run on speed density,if you don't tune yourself it's something you'll want a professional tuner to do,the pcm uses a map sensor instead of the maf to adjust the fueling besides other things, you'll need a 4bar or higher map sensor(the most wildly used is the Omni map 4 bar)usually sells for about $100.00,you'll also need an I.A.T. sensor to mount on your intercooler piping and harness which goes for like another $70-100.00 depending on where you buy it,the rest is tuning,it might seem like a lot to do but it's the only true way of venting your bov,the car runs a lot smoother once it's all done,i'm really happy with mine.https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ched-roms.html

i am running a split recirculating/atmospheric BOV from agency power no problems and no rough idle at stops.... it has a threaded plug to make it full recirculating or remove it and 50/50 blow off/recirculate

Try it out for yourself. I vented the stock bov on my car and it ran no different. Lots of others here who have tried a VTA bov on the stock MAF had had success. Some here havent. But most will preach to you not to run one, having never tried it. It's not like it's going to hurt anything. Try it out and report back. good luck.
On stock tune it does run fine VTA, I had occasional idle fludder when coming to a stop but rarely and it never stalled. But when I had my car tuned running a higher boost, it ran like crap VTA. I have a new HKS SSQV 5 bov I'll sell if anyone wants it! Half price and I have recirc fitting. SOUNDS SICK VTA
