Idle problem.

I was driving into work this morning and just as I was turning into the parking lot the car stalled. Now it will not idle without stalling, I can start it and as long as I feed it a little gas it runs. I checked the IC piping and it seems fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have cams? If it just started out the blue today, a hose probably popped off.

Well, that is the other possibility. In the OP's case It is either a vacuum leak or a bad IAC.

My brothers 03 evo had the same issue couple years ago. His IAC valve started dying and acted similar to what you're experiencing. Not too sure how to test it.

From the manual:

Measure the resistance between idle air control motor
connector terminal No. 2 and either terminal No. 1 or
terminal No. 3.
Standard value: 28 − 33 ohms [at 20°C (68°F)]
(3) Measure the resistance between idle air control motor
connector terminal No. 5 and either terminal No. 4 or
terminal No. 6.
Standard value: 28 − 33 ohms [at 20°C (68°F)]
Q: Is the measured resistance between 28 and 33 ohms [at
20°C (68°F)]

Looking at the connector with the clip facing up the pins are as follows:

1 2 3
4 5 6

well i was able to adjust the cars idle with the BISS screw and unpluging the battery help me set up everything. i thought it was good to go until i drove the car. once i would come to a stop the car would stumble and want to die. eventually it would die coming to a stop.

so am i looking at a bad IAC? i was told to unplug the IAC and the car should go up to ~2300rpm. the car seems to not care if its plugged in or not.

Did you disable the ISC while adjusting the BISS?
