You want a smooth car, but yet want to replace all them soft rubber bushings with hard poly/metal inserts..... That seems very logical

He wants to strengthen his drivetrain, not his "driveability." He's afraid with all the power he's making he's going to destroy it. At least, that's what I've gathered.

He barely makes any power, why even worry about the drivetrain breaking?

Exactly. He should have searched to find the answer to his question, which has been answered many times before.

not sure where you got the mustache delete bar idea fromm but even buschur himself said for a daily driven car on the street this was not a good idea. it does eliminate the clunking of the rear diff but road noise is horrible and much more noticeable. thats not improving driveabilty to me just irritability while driving.

op if you are looking to improve driveabilty do not go with stiffer bushings if anything i would suggest replacing them with new oem bushings. stiffer bushings will do just that make things stiffer and you will feel a noticeable difference. with cams and poly mounts in my car at idle it seems like every bolt is vibrating loose because all of the vibrations and bumps are transferred better into the body and therefore you feel it more.

If I'm not mistaken the OP actually mean he wants to improve the enjoyment of the car, not "driveability" nor "drivetrain". Which is why he had identified the shifter bushings, for better shifter feel, etc.

OP, correct me if I'm wrong.

Replacing my base and underhood shifter bushings with metal versions was one of the best mods I did for driveability. The car shifts SOOOO smooth!

I just did the blox front motor mount on my VIII and I also did it on my last VIII. It's usually the first mod I do.

Ya think a different approach might be in order?
