mods advice questions

Just did my taxes and I had a good year So I have so extra cash to blow. I have a 04 gsr 8 only mod is a works exhale catback so my questions are these should I buy a evo 9 Turbo or a evo 8 with the 10.5 hot side? And what about Meagan o2 housing and Exhaust manifold? I'm ordering my dp tp and licp tonight so what route should I go? Thanks

The mods you already have and ordered will need a good tune to get the full potential out of the parts. Look for a tuner in your area or on here. As for a turbo wait till you get tuned with new parts then go from there. But i would say a fp green for a kickass fun street turbo. GL!

I agree switching to the 9 turbo isn't really worth it.

Ya the gains are pretty minimal for the money. Also I don't really think a $2000+ fp green depending on bb or jb is worth it either lol, but if u wanna bolt and go u gotta pay the price.

^^ it would help if you listed your mods. just saying you made such and such doesnt help.

you have an evo 9 tho?? they all come with the 10.5 housing ???? confused...

OP- i say just get those mods and tune it and see how you like it, instead of dumping money on more stuff without a goal in mind and not knowing where you want the car to be.

Stick with the stock exhaust manifold, the megans are known to crack. The megan o2 housing is a good peice though. I would get a good set of cams and youll easily be around 340, or go e85 if its available to you.

If all u want is 340hp why are u asking about turbos? The Stock viii turbo is easily capable of that with basic bolt ons. I made 355 or so on 93 octane... With the mods listed in sig minus injectors, fmic, and e85.

I cant even remember all the mods on that set-up. It wasnt anything special, basic bolt ons, he just asked if it could be done so i provided my car as proof he could

And i was running a smaller hotside because i had to switch hotsides and just bought an evo8 hotside for cheap
