difference in boost reading

Hi,

I dont know why but i see different boost readings on my defi and greddy profecB EBC, both of them are connected to the same source but still reads different. e.g. when i see 1.7bar peak on my defi then i only see around 1.3 on my ebc.... what could be wrong?
any guesses?

Test each separately with an air compressor.

Where are the each reading boost from? What type of sensors? A reading that is that different is likely problematic... so check them out.

This should be your first step.

I once worked for a utility and the equipment we used was covered with pressure gauges. And like your boost gauges these gauges read all over the place. The company finally purchased a fancy gauge tester.

So, your situation is that one or the other gauge is reading correctly or maybe they are both wrong. The air pressure gauge on a compressor may be off too. About all an individual can do is purchase an expensive gauge and hope it is near correct.
