Revving/idleing problem

Looks like i've sorted out the idleing problem by replacing the idle air control valve. But now the revs still sometimes stay sky high when i engage the clutch. Also when changing gear the revs don't come down like it's supposed to.Has anyone ever experienced this before?

my idle drops down to 200-300 & car tries to stop. Will i be able to fix this by cleaning the Idle control valve???

I've finally found the problem, after replacing the iacv. The screws that hold the butterfly were a little loose,so the butterfly couldn't be centered.Just tightened them and it's sharp.
