Need Help with Smog, plz!!!
Hi all,
I'm from California, so I'm trying to get my car smogged, it passed all the test except the FUNCTIONAL test... So my car has a tune from GST awhile back, and the tuner disabled my rear o2 sensor to get rid of the CEL. My question is, will reflashing the ECU to stock map turn the rear o2 sensor back on? I plan to put my stock CAT back on, plug in the rear o2 sensor and flash it back to stock map, will it pass then? Please, any input would be great, my registration is due on the 28th.... Thanks guys!!!

Force Pass, patch thru ECU Flash, OR fix the rear O2, by adding the gap peice, i used two to gap my rear o2 correctly, till i did the force patch and then used my Rear O2 wires to help me log my Wideband thru my Ecu, thru EvoScan.

You should be able to work around this with EcuFlash.

u cant just reflash the ecu to stock for the functional test if your missing stuff. I am betting u failed because your missing something visually and that the rear o2 is not ready because its disabled. you left out some critical information as to if u have a hfc, test pipe or what as well as if you completely removed your rear o2 sensor or not. if u put back all the visual stuff and do what golgo posted, it should work.
they HAVE to tell you why your failed so u can fix it. you should have asked them. my friends stock car (an avenger) failed 2 times because the lady was too lazy to lay down and look for the o2 sensors. it has like 4 or whatever i dont know, but he finally on the 3rd time told her to lay down and point it out to her and he passed.
