USDM for now, but hopefully within a month JDM. Btw, "ILuvJDM" - Ride is looking good!

USDM for now. Come winter I'll buy an APR GT front bumper and a JDM rear.

Has any company made a USDM bumper but with the JDM diffuser? That way you can get the JDM look while having it fit right over the factory rear crash beam, no modifications necessary.

they do make a diffuser that bolts under the USDM bumper. I think it looks decent but I just can't get over how fat the USDM rear bumper is compared to JDM... ruins the look of the car, plus the lines don't even flow at all. You can tell they changed bumpers between markets

I know what you're talking about -- the APR diffuser. I considered it but I just don't think it looks clean. But I never noticed how much the USDM bumper sticks out until I saw a JDM one, but it doesn't bother me. I think there's a decent market for a JDM-style USDM bumper that fits without modification. When you go into switching bumpers, then you also need to reconsider your exhaust options, if you want it to look clean.

plus the price of $1,100 for a piece of plastic that you still have to modify to make fit...

Hey so I am really contemplating getting the JDM rear bumper. But is it hard to modify to make it a perfect fitment?

no, but you have to remove the structural skeleton from the USDM and rivet that to the JDM cover and modify the license plate mount and lights to make it work. It's not hard work, just tedious

So the crash beam doesn't have to be modified at all..? Thanks by the way.

I was under the impression that the bumper beam has to be replaced (which is why some places sell the beams that fit) or cut, which a few guys I know have done.

you can remove the spacers in the stock one and re-weld or you can spend $300+ on an aftermarket one like Demonwerkz or whatever, but yes, you have to do something with the crash beam. It will not fit

Sounds like a little bit more than modifying the license plate mount and lights haha
