question: how long will it take to take whole dash out ?

Hello evo experts.
For those who have experience with taking the whole front dash out, how long did it take to do?
Thank you

I think the previous owner of my evo took the dash out on the side of the road in 10 minutes.

Yeah, and I overhauled my engine in 5 minutes.

I was pulling the dash to install a new heater box door. Before I got it all apart I figured out how to fix the heater. Even so, I was at it for the better part of two days. Shop guys say they can do the heater box door job in 8 hours. This is with lots of experience.

I would sure hope they could get it done in 8 hours! That job would be a flat rate dream!

I even pulled it in two pieces, the plastic portion then the metal skeleton, nothing is hard to reach and I used hand tools for the whole job. I see a lot of guys psych themselves out of doing the job, never understood the "fear".

I had a go at removing mine to fix a rattle under it. Don't know how you could do it in 45 mins, I spent hours undoing screws and bolts, must of taken at least 15 large bolts and a dozen or so screws. Removed the cluster and radio surrounds, fake carbon trims, panel in drivers footwell, glovebox, trims between front doors and dash (on side of the dash), bolts everywhere I could see including two under the passenger airbag. Still couldn't lift the top of the dash to have a look for the rattle. In the end I just put the whole lot back together and gave it a miss. Might be easy if you know exactly what needs to be undone but I found it a major PITA!

Seriously, when I did it for the first time I think it took ~3hrs, you got to find all the 10mm bolts and such, would be MUCH easier without the seats though, probably save some time I'm sure.

If I were to do it again, certainly <1hr.
