The company that is designing/manufacturing these carbon fiber hoods is All
American Racers. They have been designing/manufacturing winning race cars
for the past 40 years and have a very impressive composites/aerodynamic/machining/fabrication
facility. They will produce a small number of these hoods and sell them
direct. They also have a carbon trunk design as well as some cosmetic engine
parts and some interior parts as well. The stock hood weighs 17.6 pounds while this hood weighs 10.6. The stock trunk weighs 21 lbs while the AAR trunk weighs 5.8, a total weight savings of 22.2 lbs. They have plans to sell the hood
alone and as part of a package including the other mentioned parts. More
information will be made available before the SEMA show. The car will be on
display at the Sparco booth with the AAR modifications fitted. To find out
more about All American Racers, visit allamericanracers.com. The site will
be updated with an aftermarket link sometime before the SEMA show in Las
Vegas in November. Send inquiries to jgurney36@aarinc.com.

OK, now that AAR has come clean.....

I'm glad Justin Gurney at AAR has officially posted this information. I have been waiting for them to confirm everything.

We just test fit the trunk today at Apexi and it is UNBELIEVABLE. We had the Monster Sport carbon trunk on previously and I have some comparison photos.

All American Racers (AAR) Trunk

The underside has a carbon reinforcement for the Apexi carbon wing that is being installed tomorrow.

Monster Trunk. Notice the waves and uneven finish.

Fiberglass underside....cheesy, like all the others.

That picture is awesome. Look dead center alont the trunk from top to bottom. See how they lined up the two sheets (or whatever) of CF at perfect angles? That just looks so sweet.

I would gladly be that car's baby's daddy.

What is the point of replacing an aluminum hood with a carbon fiber one? It won't be that much lighter.

If you are going for the look, then go for it. But carbon fiber hoods are really a pain to take care of, and really end up looking like crap quickly.

Does the air ducts on the gialla front bumper have a purpose?

Oh ya..I like the cf hood. How much of a weight difference between the stock hood and cf hood?
