New Sparco Evo VIII [All Threads MERGED]
lol I don't care what he spends. Like I said he can come out there in a 100k evo for all I care. And why would I care about money I do pretty well trading futures and my wife is finishing up med school.

You are starting to believe your own hype. I am not going to re-make the Sparco car - that would be well over the $25K you are talking about. However, if I can come close to the look and feel, I'll be happy. Get it through your head - no one here is competing with you, so put it back in your pants. I would guess 99% of the people who post here are just looking to maximize their enjoyment of the Evo, not impress you. That is my goal. If I end up impressing you (not likely), well great. But that's not the point. The point is that I love CF, AAR makes outstanding CF, I love the look of this Evo since it's blue and I can visualize my car a lot better, the level of fabrication is so high that I can't help but be envious, etc. etc. There is nothing there to suggest that I am out to race anyone, out-horsepower anyone, etc.
Back on topic - do you guys plan on selling the CF interior parts? I am sure you'd make a killing.

How about this, we can do some lapping days and see who gets a better time, no money just fun. I think it's about $3-400 for 2 days are VIR. I was going to go next month but I have turkey day plans.

lol, you were the one talking about "Please contact me ASAP to discuss building a second car very nearly the same as your car" I did not say that. They do great work from the looks of it.

True, but I have seen 120HP cars kill 600HP cars, it really is all driver, VIR is a LONG track so HP does help.

EDIT: BTW this can be done for about 40k including the car

That's what I am getting at, I would love to see other EVO's at the track. No money needs to be placed.

Well you just broke my logic detector. If you don't care about money why are you betting money? Why not just race for bragging rights or whatever?

Please end the pissing contest. I know I can drive, I don't need to prove it. It isn't about money anyway. The reason I have the money is because I don't spend it on other stuff. As for it being a black hole, I am quite aware of how crazy people get, having grown up in SoCal. You can't imagine how many Civics I've seen with $50,000 in them only to have to sell them for $15,000-$20,000. It's not about that. Think of it as a work in progress - once I have the look and power I want, I will stop. I am getting close to the power I want. The look will cost a lot up front, but it will consist of a few (choice) pieces. No worries. The only part I haven't really sorted out yet is what to do about the rear bumper area. I love the way the R-34 Skyline V-Spec has that carbon diffuser - if something like that comes along, that will decide it for me.
Anyway - I'm done with this. Those of you that live nearby can check it out when I'm done. I'll post pics later, too.
SparcoEvo - thanks for answering my PMs - I can't wait to see this car when it's finished!
Chris the volks are perfect. Because the finishes are TOP quality. The chrome looks amazing with the 2-piece wheel...expensive but worth it. 18x8.5.
I have pretty much taken the mindset that i'm literally never going to sell my evo. Hopefully in 5 years it will be a streetable weekend drag car.

Hey guys, let's not turn this into a pissing match. We just wanted to show some people the latest updates on our car. If you guys want to get into an argument about the positives and negatives of modifying any street car, please start a new thread.
Obviously, you never get the money back from a highly modified car, but that is not the point. If it were an investment, there would be many better places to put your money.
Thanks for all the positive comments on our car...........
