Dang....that sucks. Mine made a woooOOOOO! noise in each gear followed by whirling noise and then Bang noise doing 80mph a few yrs back. Don't drive it even 2-3 miles period.

 

All the reasons in the world could be " what it may be" just get it checked out just in case. If its nothing atleast you have the peace of mind.

 

I made the rookie mistake of having jiffy lube change my transmission and transfer case fluid.

 

So, I changed both my xfer case and rear diff fluid with diaqueen. The xfer case fluid was clean, but I noticed a spot of oil towards the rear of it (see attachment). The rear diff fluid had some metal in it but nothing to severe looking. Anyways, that god awful noise is still there and still driving me crazy. I guess I'm just going to have to take it the stealership and spend 200$ just to have them look at it.
