I just called 3 different dealers and all of them had no idea what I am talking about.

 

I got that letter too. Called the phone number on it for Mitsubishi and got a customer service type person. She was not clueless about it and really only agreed with me that it was something to tune a possible excessively rich high rpm mixture. I am going to call the local dealer here too to see what they say about it. Engine stock and no flash so I'm considering this.

So the other day I got a piece of mail from Mitsubishi with my VIN at the top stating that the factory tune causes the cat to get extremely hot and to take my Evo to the stealership to get a retune. Also Mitsu stated that they have extended the warranty of the cat. This message was for the 2006 Evolution IX.

I'm serious I got this yesterday. Anybody else?
