I figured getting a free cat and then getting a retune would be cheaper than buyings new oem cat

 

Just went in and got the re flash a few days. So far so good. Only left the car there for 40 mins.

My car had bolt ons and the service manager didn't mind it one bit. I called a few other dealerships and they refuse to warranty my car because it was "modified". Such BS for the other places.

If your in normal, pm me and I will tell you the most friendly dealership.

 

Wasted on most Evo IX owners, I guess. Just got back from vacation, looked it up here after I saw it in my mail. Although, my letter reached the recycle bin before I could swear

Anyone Got the Gas card in the mail that Mitsubishi Promised if you bring the car in for the recall?

 

I got mine, but it was a MasterCard debit card... so you could use it for anything, really. I used mine at Sam's Club for beverages

 

When did you do to the dealer and when did you get the card? Because I havent gotten anything yet. Just Checking thanks

I think I did it in either late May or early June, while the card arrived in the mail in early August, if I'm not mistaken. I remember because I activated it while shopping for a wedding gift in early/mid August. It took a tad longer than the estimated 6-8 weeks.

 

Thanks bro, I am going to call Mitsubishi I went May 22 havent gotten my visa from them yet.

 

If it helps, mine came in an envelope from some company in Newport Beach, though I'm not sure if that's where they all are mailed from, as I did the service at South Coast Mitsu in Costa Mesa.

 

I'm going in tomorrow. Any difference in the power delivery / fuel economy after the flashing?

Anyone have any problems after getting the update then getting a tune? I got it down since my car was bone stock, just curious if any tuners saw something different after tuning a car that got the software update

 

The service advisor told me that it wouldn't have an effect on something like that. It was basically just getting reflashed with a different tune.
