One sweet car
This is going overboard. If you don't like EI, fine, but don't keep posting about it on these forums. These forums are about contributing something, not bashing vendors. I think people know that you have had a bad experience with EI... no need to waste our bandwidth and db space with these posts.
IMO, you're still better off discussing things with EI and trying to resolve the matter for your own benefit. Ranting doesn't solve a thing.
Thanks,
Mark

Don't bad mouth Adam and EI. I was there when Erik got to see his. Adam gave me a brochure and was very friendly when I talked to him over the phone as well as in person. I'm going to be getting an Evo VII from him in January (unless the VIII offers something better) and I have no doubt everything will go smoothly.

When we imported the V1 into the UK we ( Ralliart UK- now Xtreme ) had problems with the goverment departments
causing delays leading to some customers calling us everyday
just to *****, tieing up valuble time for many of our staff and
in some cases customers contacting the DOT themselves
to try and speed things up, when infact this caused further
delays. In all we had a 3 month delay. In the main most of our
customers were patient but we had arourd 30 who were a
nightmare to deal with !
We invested around $70,000 looking to approve the V11 before
deciding that it was not worth the hassle given the US DOT/EPA
regs so Adam has our respect for his determination in his efforts
and I am pleased to see that most of his customers support him
All I can say is that when the US V111 arrives Adams V11 owners
will be very pleased that they stuck with him
PS
Did you know the V11 will star in the F&F 2- We are helping
with tech and parts etc

If a company doesn't know EXACTLY how long it takes to get a car here and make it legal then they shouldn't tell people that they do and basically lie to them just to get there money. That is wrong morally and is bad buisness practice as well. EI should try and make it up to its customers somehow or at least offer a complete refund when the due date arives and they have no car. You could probly take them to court and win if you have a contract stating the date in writing.
My 2 cents (and that all it is)

I have no Idea what EI have said in their contract to customers
but can relate to our experience with the UK DOT.
Before Importing the V1 to the UK we discussed the requirements
and testing with the various goverment departments involved and
were given a time frame for getting the cars through the
various stages of aproval before providing any delivery dates
to customers.
When the cars arrived here however the goverment department
we had been dealing with and who had given us the aproval
times put a number of obsticals in our way causing long delays over previously agreed methods of aproval. We put legal people
on the case which was a big mistake because our paperwork
then went to the bottom of the pile causing more delays.
This may not relate to the problems EI have with delay but it
shows you can make commitments in good faith with other factors
outside of your control messing things up. I understand
that G&K are doing the aproval work for EI and I am told that
they are one of the top two US companys that specialise in
this work has anyone spoken to them?

I thought it was better to hate on the man who's fault it is then on the buissness, cause a buissness makes no actual decisions.
If it is the DOT's fault and it causes monitary damages to the buissness due to them having to refund/lose money to customers then any judge in good standing would probly agree with the buissness and they would get it all back. If the legalizing process takes longer then the organization that legalizes cars said it would, take then they are at fault and EI needs to take care of that legaly not just pass off the problem to the customer.

There are a lot of current customers who would vouch for Adam's loyalty... he's a busy guy, but if you call, he'll talk to you and discuss things openly.
