Please help a noob with pricing?
Awesome. I didn't realize his last text was to be take 110% literally. He will only accept cash. Will not take a certified bank check.
Im not driving to queens with $23,500 in hundred dollar bills. Just not happening. Guess it's not meant to be

Fair enough. God damn do I sound like a noob lol. Been in the Subaru game for 5yrs now and don't pretend to know the first thing about an Evo. Recently sold my 07 Sti with 14k on the odo and want to come over to the dark side.
Seller states the car receives all maintenance from his local Mitsubishi dealership and he has the oil changed every 3 months has he never its the mileage intervals with how little he drives it. States it has never seen rain or snow as he DD's an Infiniti.

We have a traditional inline piston engine, not twin motorcycle engines......
I find that people who "won't accept certified bank checks" are people who don't understand that they are essentially the same thing as cash. Dude doesn't sound particularly bright.
Why don't you just meet him at a branch of your bank in his area? Then you can withdraw funds there if he's really set on walking away with a briefcase of $100s.

I find that really sketchy that he won't take a certified bank check and/or drive a reasonable distance to meet you. Yes, I get the whole "I don't want to get in an accident" but you run that risk everyday when you get in a car. I know it seems a little "above and beyond" to go, but how do you know 100% that this car is even in his posession? Did he send you pictures with that evidence that he in fact owns this car? Wanting almost $24K in cash seems sketch to me.

Carry that much cash, nah man.....

I'll be damned if I was going to walk around with 23k in hundo's lol. Maybe I'm not a big enough baller

I've decided to walk away from the car. He's just being to sketchy for my liking. It really sucks as I've been looking for a low mileage 06 SE or MR thats not $35k since January and haven't found one yet. I'm about to just pick up another 06 STI and call it a day.
No proof other than he had the keys and took me for a test drive. Although he would not let me drive it.....

As in taking a taxi (she did not own a car or drive) with a suitcase with $250,000 in hundreds on her lap.
Yes, she was baller, but even she said those taxi rides made her nervous.
