Spark plug problem

Just swapped plugs to the same I've been using(ngk bpr7es) and now car will NOT idle and dies coming to a stop. What could be the issue? I gapped em at .025 and disconnected battery before starting. Also previous plugs had a bit of oil at the bottom and noticed the car before and now smells a bit like oil while driving

You disconnected the battery, has to relearn idle.

Pretty common.

Really? Ive disconnected battery before and this has never happened. Is the bit of oil at bottom of spark plug normal? I also noticed, when i put in the new plugs, i tighten until it feels snug then it wont tighten anymore. Before if i tightened till snug i could still keep tighin easily..any ideas on that and the oil smell?

As the others said, car relearning idle. Will take a couple drives and then it will be fine. Take your time in the meanwhile.

Car drives good once moving so ill see if it just needs time. I have no smoke out of tailpipe so the smell is odd. I have no idea why it smells like oil, i also have no visual leaks and im not losing oil

The valvecover gasket around the spark plug holes could be leaking. Get oil in the combustion chamber and/or on the spark plugs, you can bet your car will run like sh*t

That shouldn't be it. Moore automotive replaced my valve cover less than 1000 miles ago. What would be the symptoms?

Are you checking your oil level and are you burning a lot of oil ? If you are it can be a couple of things but the biggest one is you might need a new piston ring. Yes that's gonna be money to fix, it also can be the valve cover gasket or PVC valve so start there and if still has blue smoke coming from the exhaust then You need new piston rings.

Only thing i can think of is stuck pcv valve. No blue smoke, no smoke at all actually. Oil level is full its not losing oil.
