30k is nuts...I probably have one of the cleaner/unmolested evo's 9's on here and If I were to sell it, it would be no where near 30k lol

whaat? 20-24k for a 100k mile car?? Maybe I just haven't been browsing the classifieds recently, I assume those cars aren't selling quick either though.

Either way I have 52k mile evo 9, original owner with no accidents and would probably throw it up for 22-23k, I assume that would be a fair price?? (not now so don't pm me anyone) I'm waiting on a new job first.

If it's bone stock, you might be able to get a little bit more. As mentioned before, I am also the original owner of a clean Evo IX SE (100% bone stock), and while those prices are crazy to you, I'm confident I can get more (though I have no plans to sell), when considering the demand for a clean example, especially of the IXs, and especially of the IX SEs.

it is not impossible to find one I had to up my mileage criteria a little but I recently picked up an apex silver 03 with 99k on it out of Texas completely stock with all maintenance records for 12,500. I did look for over 6months though and dealt with a lot of cars that weren't what they seemed. Like has been mentioned though I would plan on having 16,000 if you are going to spend 14 just to cover all the maintenance

I think i got lucky with mine, 112k on the clock for exactly 14k clean title and "stock." You could tell the car was modified and put back to stock, but then again, its an evo. I don't' understand people who are looking for a car like an evo that has been driven to the grocery store or to work only, people buy these cars to drive hard so expect it. Yes some people may do dumb things like dumping the clutch at 6k and what not, but just expect the worst and take a gamble or buy a Prius.

Lol no not bone stock, I can't imagine keeping an Evo stock, I actually had parts ordered before I even picked my car up in 06.

Just buy your Evo X. Mentally you will feel justified paying $20k+, (since its not 10 years old I guess), and then when you decide to sell it in a few years hopefully you get 60-70 percent of your money back.

I agree with most people here. Supply and demand. Same story with Supras but its a little more overwhelming in terms of money. Evo IX's were still $33-35 new and I can easily see them going for High 20's if you have a very low mileage one. Why ask anything less when someone will buy it?

^ Not only that, but everyone who thinks that the prices are too high needs to ask themselves... if you had a clean, bone stock, low mileage (meaning less than 10k miles racked on annually) Evo VIII/IX, what would you sell it for?

that has under 80,xxx miles is this possible I have seen on the past. but now I have the money I can not find one for sale in that price range all seem overpriced wanting 17k for their 137,xxx miles beat to hell car.

I am just wondering when is a good time to pick up an evo 8 and what should I pay for a o3 evo 8 all stock with 60,xxx miles. I just caint see paying 20k for a 10 year old car. when I can get a newer X for not that much more.

I am gessing its a good time to sell your 8/9's this market is ridiculous

I am just festerated and want to get in an evo but don't want to over pay
been searching for 3 mouths and have not found nothing
I've seen some go for around there, but not where I live (Long Island). My buddy got his for 12,500 on here and is really clean, that may be an exception however. One of my other buddies has a IX that he bought in 2009 for $18,000 in PA with only 45k Miles. You can find em. Now is the time to buy however, don't wait till spring, people get more itchy and greedy to sell from my past experience. You'll also have alot more competition as a buyer.

Don't forget, if you get a X you're going to be financing it. Personally if theres no reason to put a noose around your neck, don't do it, wait it out and save up. Thats just me though. Good luck!!

It is going to be hard to find one for your price range. I got lucky and picked up my 03 a couple weeks ago for $7500, with 134k on it, clean car, clean title, a few mods that are done properly, it was a deal from a buddy of mine though, not gonna find that kinda deal floating around online typically.
