Whining T-Case is it safe to drive long distance?
So the next question (because I fear that I may be in the same situation) is, when getting it replaced should we go for a Mitsubishi replacement, or opt for a Jacks rebuilt? It sounds like the failure may be power-related, so for those of us with simple bolt-ons and tunes (i.e. 100-150hp over stock) is a Mitsubishi replacement just going to break down again in a couple of years?
Thanks!

To do a oem replacement rebuild Jacks offers that as well as TRE and Shep. Then you get into the stage 2 and stage 3's. If you have a Evo 8, you could use the LSD front diff upgrade, if you have a Evo 9 and your not wanting to push it much farther than stock then just doing a stage 1 with new ring and pinion (if needed) should be fine.
