Well you definitely know evos! Can you recommend a good place to buy a oem alternator?

Gonna go home shortly and get back to torqueing the pressure plates to 13 ft lb and continue installing the rest of the parts and hopefully be driving the car late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Mentor Mitsubishi. 25% off MSRP, plus no core.

Can not be beaten.

Good luck with the trans install man. Once you get it running check the battery voltage with it running with a volt meter, it should read ~13.5-14.5 volts even with all lights and accessorys on.

I bought a cheap *** xtd stg 4 6 puck clutch for my **** box 11 second drag civic and the clutch disc was labeled "flywheel side" on the wrong side lol. So glad I didn't install it backwards from the wrong labling haha.

This thing is kicking my *** i have it lined up but it just wont seal around the bell housing. I cant figure out why the..bottom wont close up. It seems as though the engine needs to be pulled forward and the center diff has like 0 room to move about....

Sucks.

Take your scissor jack and put it between the engine oil pan and the passenger side K member, putting the slot for the pinch weld right on the pinch of the K member. Then crank the jack until the AC compressor is about to kiss the radiator. Makes life way easier negotiating the trans around the K member etc. Its all about getting a straight shot.

yeah that works good but I've done it without as well...I'm scared of the jack because I've had that ***** fly off on me when tightening...I'm about to install my tranny as well but I have torque solution mounts now...lemme ask you this...have you ever tried using the jack with torque solution mounts? will the engine move?

subscribed. in the first photo you say you have the side with the springs and plateau toward the engine which is wrong but in the second example you show the opposite . can you confirm. maybe you didnt have it flipped in the first place and now that its backwards you can't seal the deal with the bell housing. i want pics.

I have not, but given that the transmission and roll stop mounts would all be removed, I have a real hard time believing the engine mount alone would prevent any movement whatsoever, especially considering the nature of how it bolts to the frame. I'm sure it will reduce movement some, but it shouldn't prevent movement entirely.
If you've had the jack come out, it is because you did not have it fitted well.
