I have to rebuild my engine so my engine is currently out of my car. I'm looking for ideas for things that I can do to boost looks or function. Are there any good ways to clean the bay up a little bit?

I want to do a wire tuck, throttle cable relocate and EGR delete, but if anyone has any other cost effective things I should do let me know!

 

Motor mounts, and bushings for sure

 

simple cleaning in the bay with the engine out woud be a good thing to do. A wire tuck with the engine out is easier

Not pressure washing the bay before dropping your shiny new engine just doesn't seem right

 

Remove wires that are no longer needed. paint the bay, if not paint wash the hell out of it. delete things no longer needed A/c

 

sell the evo and get a gtr

 

also if you want to do a front sway bar now is the time

 

Depending on your driving style you could do an abs delete. I grew up without abs so I know how to modulate the pedal even on ice, and it could cut some weight. But abs is nice system if you're used to it.

 

It's easier to change out your tie rods and ball joints if they are due. I did my whiteline RCK while motor was out.

 

Sit in the engine bay and make racecar noises after a 5th of whiskey.
