Well, first of all I would like to say that even if you did a basic rebuild, you would notice a BIG difference with the good compression, let along a MONSTER build like this haha! I am excited for you man, you're gonna love that thing, It's one thing to own a fast car, and a totally different thing to own a fast EVO hah. Gl bro

What were your plans for the car ? i guess just wondering why you decided to stay stock displacement when a 2.3 would be more street friendly. Either way enjoy the wait and you have to be patient. When you get start doing big builds there are occasionally hickups just be patient and respectful and things will go great.

Its well worth the wait though after not having my evo for almost a year getting it back and being able ot drive it was like heaven, i had to daily my STI which is built also but after not driving the evo i drive it when i can lol.

What rods are going in it?
You will have a solid platform for adding a bigger turbo later on
Maybe the car will be too powerful and he can sell it to me.

Yea I am actually going to probably be quite nervous to drive it for awhile just because of the huge difference in performance since the last time I drove it. My daily right now has less than 100 hp lol and is incredibly soft (which is quite nice actually) so I will be taking it easy until I can get used to the new power and handling.

The car will be my most days daily with 5-7 track days a year. Maybe a few drag days and a few full track days. I actually considered the 2.3 and the 2.4 but honestly I kind of wanted the higher rpm 2.0 and doing the long rod in combination with that was a no brainer. I honestly never get into boost when just cruising as I baby the car so I do not need the extra displacement when just cruising. Once I need the power I know it will be there above 4k. During full track days my hope is to be able to stay in higher rpms longer but who knows. If this setup doesn't work for some events then I will build a different car for those events. I think it should be just fine for most events. If its to much power for auto x events (like some have said) or to slow of spool (no one seems to use above the red) then I will run a second map.

Yea I have been away from the car since May. Was really hoping to have it before the summer was up so I could take it up in the mountains and just drive it. I find the most peace during those days of worry free cruising. Can't wait to get it back!
